Forbidden Island
January 22nd, 2009

Found a little hideaway in Alameda, aptly named Forbidden Island. Zombie, Scorpion Bowl, Missionary’s Downfall…if its tropical and 75% alcohol they make it.

Dreaming of the tropics? Its not quite the same, but two Mai Tais later and you’ll probably have completely forgotten where you are anyhow. If you make a trip to the island, stop by 1304 Lincoln Avenue and tipple yourself silly. They’re open Tuesday through Sunday with a happy hour from 5 to 7 on weeknights (all night on Tuesdays) and they make a point of serving local beer, wine and booze as well as squeezing their own juice, all of which makes for some very tasty good times.
