Went for a bike ride across the Golden Gate thinking we'd have a look at the new (and old) goings on at Fort Baker aka those buildings off to the right of the bridge.
Not a bad view from the other side of the bridge either.
Poked around the old battery buildings.
Mostly we'd gone over to quell my curiosity about the new Cavallo Point Lodge which they've built in and around the existing barracks buildings. Had a few drinks at the Farley Bar and warmed ourselves by the fire before heading back out into the cold for the ferry ride home.

Crossing the bridge? Fort Baker is just over the Golden Gate on the marin side and is easily found by taking the Alexander Rd exit. What's left of themilitary fort is pretty small, but its a nice area to walk around and I especially like the Presidio Yacht Club. I can't say I fell in love with the Lodge, I think it was a bit too modern-wicker where I'd hoped it'd be sort of early-century-military-home charming with a great big fireplace and hearth. Time for a trip to the Awahnee.
