Boat works? Got to spend an afternoon touring the Maritime Park's small craft collection over in Alameda, which was amazing. I forget sometimes that the Park is actually a museum and as such has a huge collection of maritime ephemera, boats included, stashed away for restoration or simply being documented for posterity. The very first Pelican, a chunk of steel from a ship Joseph Conrad sailed on, dorys, engines, shelves packed with sea chests and carvings. Every couple months its open for a public tour, I suggest you go see for yourself.
