Got invited to a birthday at the Bayview Boat Club, one of my most favorite places in the city.
Nothing like ushering in the summer in style.
Big bucks and the sweet smell of success.
Took advantage of the weather with an outing to North Beach one afternoon. Drank wine and played rummy at Cafe Zoetrope which has both lovely snacks and tables outside. Coppola doesn't go shabby on the goods.
Felt rather chic after our two-hour Roman Holiday and started hankering for steak and cocktails. Haven't splurged on House of Prime Rib in a while, but lordy is it good. Still has that rat pack ambiance without being kitschy and even Willie Brown was getting his supper there. In a brown suit and pink shirt, no less.
Those meat-mobiles are so neat. Every once in a while I try to go vegetarian and then things like this happen.
The good life sure is swell.

And the cowboy? Not much of a story there, but the BVBC pours some tall drinks. Sadly for us they're a members only establishment, but one of these days I swear I'll wear a tag that says I'm sponsored by my own damn self. Or maybe members don't wear name tags at all, I don't remember. Anyhow, if its nice out and you're feeling too classy for Dolores Park, head on up to Cafe Zoetrope. Not too spensive, but nice and small with good eats and the beautiful old Sentinel Building (built in 1907) towering above. House of Prime Rib is always a treat and actually isn't that hard on the pocketbook in the end considering you get all the meal fixings included with your endless plate of steak. Plus, those cocktails...
