A series of warm, sunny afternoons reminded us that this summer's most likely going to be yet another "best summer ever" if not THE best summer ever, which I full well think it has the potential to be. Anyhow, Pollock and I figured we'd better start getting ready for all that baseball we're going to play by hitting up the batting cages.
Jesse was definitely a Little Leaguer.
Don't know why there aren't more outdoor batting cages nearby. Ended up going all the way to Redwood City to Malibu Grand Prix because everything closer was inside and we just couldn't abide that on such a nice day.
Forgot how much it hurts to hit a hard ball. Such a satisfying feeling when you send it flying, though.
Somebody's hitting a homer come summertime.
No joke. I can't imagine what the fast balls are like.
Took a break and played some games. Skee-ball's a good way to rack up the tickets.
Somehow you never have quite enough for the big prizes.
Got in a game of miniature golf since it was still lovely and warm out. I'm awful at it, but we still managed to tie in the end. Nothing more irritating than talking mad shit and then coming up even.

Time to hone your hand-eye coordination? There's a few batting cages scattered about the East Bay and South City areas, but Malibu Grand Prix gets my vote for having outdoor batting and various other amusements. Its not really that far of a drive, just make sure you don't get stuck in traffic. To get there take the 101 south and get off at the Woodside Rd exit and cross back over the freeway to Blomquist St. Take a left and there you are.
