Sometimes all I want is a nice juicy steak smothered in mushrooms with an iceberg lettuce salad and baked potato. Got there too late for the potato part but our bottle of wine must've been under 15 bucks and we ate in the shadow of a giant elephant head with a thirteen foot trunk. Foster's, you're amazing.

Fond of steak and taxidermy? Then Foster's Bighorn is the place for you. The whole establishment is fantastic with a long wooden bar and checkered linoleum in the dining room and has that great hasn't-changed-since-it-opened feel, flourescent lighting and all. Its a bit of a trek from the city just to go for dinner but its right up there in the delta so you could totally make a day of it. Plus, with the closure of Original Joe's in the tenderloin the well of atmospheric places where you can still get a full on steak dinner (salad, potato, the works) and a couple of drinks for under $30 each is looking pretty dry. Now if those darn kids would just stay off my lawn...
